New York City — New Time

Updated: Aug 19, 2019

Spring has been creeping up on us here in New England. That being said, my cabin fever needed healing and my craving for adventure has been a little ridiculous lately. Obviously time for a little two night road trip! Destination: NYC

Nights were spent over looking the Manhattan Skyline in an awesome high rise Air BnB in Jersey City. Personally, this is my favorite way to create travel accommodations. There are so many neat houses and lofts available which give you a totally different experience when traveling. As for the two days, even though they were a bit rainy and dreary, they were spent exploring:

The Met - Must SEE. This was my absolute favorite spot on the trip. Every wing was filled with content and beautifully kept. The Met was much larger than I expected. I easily could've got lost in here for hours.

Central Park- I'm assuming it's much prettier when the trees and flowers are in bloom but the stroll, including stopping at the zoo, was worth long walk from top to bottom.

Bryant Park - Must stop for Nutella covered waffles. NO exceptions.

World Trade Center

Empire State Building- Super cool views from inside & outside the observatory. Skylines are kinda my photography weakness. So this was the perfect spot.

The MOMA- Seeing the Starry Night in real life was absolutely breathtaking, however, I was slightly disappointed in some of the exhibits.

Radio City

Grand Central- The engraved constellations on the ceiling was an unexpected surprised. Normally i' m not one for Architecture but, the symmetry and design of this building gave it a classic romantic feel.

Brooklyn Bridge - Perfect picture taking spot, I would've loved to been able to explore Brooklyn shops and street art.

Overall a very successful adventure however, I will say, I am a Boston girl through and through. Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip!

I am always getting asked what mobile tools I use to edit so, i've listed them below -
